Where is the Loo?

Oh, there it is, under that cute sign!

If only a cute sign helped with potty training.......

This was an easy one. We had some leftover random pieces of 2" x 4" in our garage, that just screamed paint me.

I sanded the edges to round them out a little bit.

I painted it a rich mustard.

Distressed it a smidgen with some burnt umber and black paint.

Painted "the loo" on.
I have had these neat brackets from Hobby Lobby since we moved in. I had always planned on using them as corbels in our kitchen. But plans changed, and they were looking for a purpose.

So I screwed the brackets into the top and bottom of the wood, and the brackets into the wall over our hall bath.

Now our guests know where to go, when they have to go!

My goodness, girl! You have been busy. Cute project.
Oh my gosh, I love this! You hand painted "The Loo"? You're good! You've inspired me to maybe try my hand at a wood sign for over the daybed in my guest bedroom. I've been looking online, but not finding anything that catches my eye.
What a sweet idea! This would create so much additional interest in a long boring hallway. I'm off to watch for brackets and signs now. :)

What a fun idea. I have wanted to put a put a bathroom sign on the door of our powder room for sometime. Maybe this is the inspiration I needed.
